The Women in Math, Science & Engineering Living-Learning Community and Society seeks to increase the retention of women in STEM fields by:
- Promoting a supportive environment
- Encouraging participation beyond the classroom
- Providing opportunities to enhance academic and career goals through program involvement
- Exposing students to current research and careers in a variety of STEM fields
- Developing valuable relationships with scholars, researchers, and mentors in STEM
- Enhancing skills necessary to be successful as academics and future professionals
